AYUDA CON CS 1.6 NO STEAM WINDOWS XP 64 BITS

BUENO PS LA VERDAD ES MI PRIMER POST, YO JUEGO ES CSS PERO ME GUSTA EL 1.6 PORQUE LO HE JUGADO EN LAN, AHORA, LO QUIERO INSTALAR EN MI PC Y TENGO WINDOWS XP 64 BITS Y ME APARECE UN ERROR QUE DICE ALGO COMO "MEMORY NO SE QUE MONDA LESS THAN 15 MB", HE LEIDO Y LEIDO Y LEIDO Y NO ES QUE NO TENGA RAM, TENGO 4 GB, SINO QUE PARECE QUE HAY UN ERROR CON EL CS Y WINDOWS XP 64 BITS.

SI ALGUIEN SABE LA SOLUCION LE AGRADECERIA MUCHO

1. ha intentado correr la aplicacion bajo el modo de 32 bits????
2. me causa intriga el hecho de q para instalar cs tenga q tener maximo 2 GB de ram, segun lo q vi desconecte algunos modulos de la ram de tal forma que le quede de 2 GB o menos, ud cdice tener 4, dejelo en 2 y luego si intente

en todo caso aca le dejo dos soluciones q encontre

1. I have finally solved this. In order to make it run, I installed the CS1.6 v30 patch. (To find this, just google it.) Then, the first time I launched the game, the game screen came up but then Windows minimized it while it asked me if I would like to unblock it. After I unblocked it, I brought CS back up and it locked my PC. I rebooted, and then it worked fine. Within the game, menu selections and things seem to lag a little bit behind the cursor, but once you actually start a game it works fine. The problem is caused by a technical matter with memory in the Windows OS. Windows XP x86 (32-bit) assigns applications 2gb memory chunks when they start (unless you tell it to give them 3gb, but that is a different story.) Additionally, Windows XP x86 can only address 4gb of RAM total, even if Physical Address Extension (PAE) is enabled. On Windows XP x64 (64-bit) (which is based on Windows Server 2003), each program is by default given 4gb of RAM (If you have more than 2gb of physical RAM, but again, that is a different story). When I launched the earlier version of CS1.6 on XP x64, it saw that it had 4gb of RAM and did not know what to do with all of that RAM, so it panicked and quit. The reason the compatibility mode fix worked on Vista is that it forced the OS to assign CS1.6 the expected 2gb of RAM, which allowed it to run successfully. On XP x64, the update (v30) must introduce some new DLL or EXE version which properly detects when the program has been allotted 4gb RAM.

2. I had the same issue. I had three 1gb (3 x 1gb) sticks of ram installed, running on Win XP x64. I just removed one of the modules and it runs perfectly. Apparently, CS 1.6 has some issues reading more than 2gb of ram on x64 platforms. The same thing happened to my friend who was running Vista x64 with 4 gb (2 x 2gb), so he just removed one and it started working. I hope they release a patch soon to fix this issue. My 1gb module is not being utilized at the moment just because the game isn't working. This will solve your problem. Take care.

pero = esto de la instalacion es un problema general q le pasa a usuarios de windows de 64 bits, ya sea xp o vista, entonces pues bueno que se haya oresentado el caso, porque he visto que esto le pasa a todos tanto steam como no steam, y el problema no lo resuelve soporte tecnico de valve

Gunnersslash, gracias men por la respuesta, la verdad lo que no queria era quitar el modulo de ram.
Segun lo que he leido el problema si consiste en tener las 4 de ram.
En cuanto a ejecutarlo en modo windows xp 32 bits, eso me ayudaria en el caso de tener windows vista, en xp 64 no da esa opcion.

Bacano por la ayuda men.

Otra cosa, ps en valve parece que te baja una actualizacion para el juego que corrije este problema.

Solucion: despues de haber pasado por internet y leido y leido la unica conclusion que saco es comprar el juego en steam (y estaba a 5 dolares hasta el 14 creo ), y ps mirar a ver si consigo clan en 1.6.
